— What is Success? —
Lamborghinis on the driveway?
“Looking like” Rich?
Having people work “for” you?
A big house?
Calling yourself a “Boss”?
Calling yourself a “CEO”?
Calling yourself a Millionaire?
1 Million followers on Instagram?
Black credit card?
Raising your chin?
Making lots of Money is absolutely fantastic, as long it is ethically made and spent, but this is another article
’Success’ has to be defined.
And, Im curious… How is it related to “Doing what You Want”?
Lets clarify this:
‘Success’ is ‘Success’
‘Accomplishing’ is ‘Accomplishing’
‘Success’ is not ‘Accomplishing’
‘Accomplishing’ is not ‘Success’
— Is there Fear of Failure? —
Lets talk about a baby girl learning to Walk.
The girl wants to Walk.
So … Does she want to walk right away?
Or … Does she also want to have the ‘learning process’ to walk?
… lets evaluate both options:
Option 1: ‘Walking’
Option 2: ‘Walking’ + ‘Learning Process’
Option 1: ‘Walking’
The girl skipped the ‘Learning Process’, so she doesn’t value the ‘Accomplishing’ of walking, because there was no ‘Accomplishment’ or ‘Learning Process’. Also she didn’t ‘learn’ to walk because she skipped the ‘Learning Process’ so there is no guarantee in her walking.
She doesn’t have the ‘Learning Process’ nor the ‘Accomplishment’.
So… She Walks.
Is this Instant Gratification?
👉🏼 Is there ‘Success’ here?
Option 2: ‘Walking’ + ‘Learning Process’
She did the ‘Learning Process’ and then she walked. She has both the ‘Accomplishment’ and she has the guaranteed experience of the ‘Learning Process’ to back up her walking!
👉🏼 Is there ‘Success’ here?
Let’s analyze the ‘Learning Process’
All babies learn to Walk!
Because babies are not afraid of Failure, but Adults are!
Babies don’t fear putting their Reputation and Self-Esteem on the line to do what has to be done.
Adults can totally do the same!
Adults don’t need to fear putting their self-esteem on the line to learn.
Some adults ‘think’ they are scared of Failure and then they avoid doing anything at all.
These adults have completely failed without even starting!
Some might argue that the ‘Learning Process’ is ‘Failing’ the way to ‘Success’.
I don’t see how the ‘Learning Process’ is ‘Failing’.
I see the ‘Learning Process’ as a ‘Successful’ practice!
I also see ‘Accomplishment’ of walking as a ‘Successful’ practice!
Therefore I see ‘Success’ in all steps of the way in Option 2 (‘Walking’ + ‘Learning Process’)
So Option 2 is total ‘Success’!
While Option 1 (‘Walking’) I see as Tasteless Unsuccessful ‘Immediate Gratification’, without any ‘Success’.
Conclusion: ‘Walking’ + ‘Learning Process’ is ‘Successful’ in every step of the way! In other words, we can embrace the ‘Learning Process’ and the ‘Accomplishment’, both as ‘Successful’ practices! So the girl was ‘Successful’ every day on her learning to walk and walking! … She did what she wanted!
Then: SUCCESS = ‘Learning Process’ + ‘Accomplishment’
Then: SUCCESS = “DOING”!
Then FAILURE = Avoiding doing the ‘Learning Process’ + ‘Accomplishment’
Then FAILURE = the opposite of ‘Success’.
Then FAILURE = “NOT DOING”!
The Girl was ‘Doing what she wanted’ all the time, and she was ‘Successful’.
— ‘Do What You Want’ all the time, be ‘Successful’ —
Of course, as we saw in the girl, Doing what you want has to be aligned with the Master Plan: ‘Walking’ in this case. So Do What You Want, all the time, every moment of your life, as long as it is aligned with the Master Plan and you will be ‘Successful’ at every moment, just by DOING.
